Rob and Illisa catered my husband's 60th birthday party at our home last month, for about 30 guests. We couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out. From the very beginning Rob worked with me to customize a menu, accommodating our personal preferences, food restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free) and food allergies. Rob and Illisa arrived a few hours before the start of the party and cooked everything on site in our kitchen - we had a beautiful charcuterie board made up, a cocktail hour with passed appetizers, then finally a delicious dinner served family style on platters with a choice of 3 entrees. Rob provided a server and we asked for a bartender which he also provided. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. At the end of the party everything was cleaned up and the leftovers packed away - that was the best part ever! His entire team was extremely professional and personable, and were a pleasure to work with. We would not hesitate to use Rob and his team again for any of our future events.

We decided to go rouge this year and have Thanksgiving catered. I'm in my seventies and have cooked every year for most of my adult life.
Rob and his wife did an incredible job. Everything was absolutely delicious; from the mixed greens, which much to our surprise, contained walnuts, apples, raisins, cucumbers and more. It was magnificent with their Maple Vinaigrette. The turkey, the main attraction, as well as all the sides we ordered were excellent. BONUS....pricing is reasonable and Rob is a delight to work with. Highly recommend.

We were in a tough pinch as we had to suddenly cancel my wife's 50th birthday vacation celebration. I had days to act fast to redirect the celebration. Spur of the moment, I decided to hire a chef at home, to cook for us and close friends. While Rob/Illisa were booked solid, I explained the situation, and they kindly offered to make room for us. We got so lucky in many ways - this was an awesome decision. Everything from the service and the dumpling appetizers to the main steak and fish courses were amazing. On top of it all, Rob, Illisa and staff are really good people; it made it all worthwhile. Thanks so much!

Rob recently catered our post-bar mitzvah brunch for out of town guests. The food was plentiful and delicious. The traditional fish salads fresh and tasty. Our guests loved the made to order fluffy pancakes and all the choices for the omelette station. His staff were friendly and our event was relaxing and appetizing! Oh! and the coffee was HOT and yummy!

Our family celebrated a surprise birthday weekend for my wife at a rental home. Rob worked with us to develop an amazing menu for Saturday Lunch & Dinner as well as a Sunday Brunch. While I had some ideas, Rob helped create the perfect selections. He delivered everything promised, on time and with quality and quantity. Rob worked around dietary restrictions and strong family preferences for the group of 13.

Rob and his server are incredible! He did an amazing job on Thanksgiving, with the most delectable Turkey that I’ve ever had!!! My family is still talking about the sweet potatoes and the unusual, creative salad with the best maple cider dressing !!! Everything was delicious!!!
We had a family dinner party at our house, catered by Rob and his staff this past Friday night, before our wedding. It was absolutely wonderful! The hors d’oeuvres and salad were delicious. The short ribs were “ to die for”, and the salmon a big hit, too. The beyond incredible chocolate tart, was the best dessert that I’ve had in about thirty years ( at that time, I had one almost as decadent, that I had craved since then and not found until now). Our family is still raving about the meal. Rob and his fantastic server, were a pleasure ! They set up, served beautifully, and even cleaned up!!! What an absolute pleasure! So much better than going out to a restaurant!

Rob and his wife are master caterers. Along with their staff they served us and our 100+ guests at our wedding this fall. Rob was very flexible and worked with us to design a Mediterranean inspired menu to match the Spanish style villa venue. Each course of food was spectacular. High end hors d'oeuvre for the cocktail hour along with a meat & cheeseboard that people are still talking about months later. Mediterranean calamari and eggplant rollatini for appetizers. Lamb, steak, and scallops for the entrée choices closed out the menu with even more class. Everything was delicious with very generous portions.

We hired Chef Rob for a post wedding brunch following my sisters wedding. Rob was very communicative during the planning process and adjusted the menu as requested, even through me acting as the liaison between all 4 parents of the B+G.
The day of the event, Rob made everything so easy. Along with his staff, they arrived early, set everything up, and the food was delicious. They remained attentive throughout the whole event, friendly to all, and cognizant of food allergies/preferences. They cleaned everything up and other than our full bellies, it's like they were never there- which was the best gift for my parents who would have otherwise had to clean up.

I am so glad I used Rob’s Kitchen Caravan for my event. I don’t live in the area and needed to plan a prewedding breakfast and a lunch event. All plans were made by phone conversations with Rob. He was very flexible and knowledgeable about what needed to be done for a successful event. On the day of the event, Rob and his wife arrived on time and were extremely professional. The food was delicious. Breakfast included an omelet station and a pancake station. All the guests enjoyed having a delicious breakfast cooked to order. It was very relaxing and tasty. Lunch was equally delicious. Rob and his wife cleaned up after the event and left the place cleaner than when they arrived. I can’t say enough good things about Rob and his wife.

Rob is a true professional, from start to finish everything was perfection. I had a brunch for 25 people in my home. Rob made choosing the menu so easy and had so many terrific ideas. On the day of the event Rob and his staff came and set up everything. During the event Rob and his staff were on top of it making sure my guests were happy and glasses full. At the end everything was cleaned up as if they weren't even there.

I can't say enough about Chef Rob. From our initial correspondence, I could tell that Rob was a true professional. It was a pleasure having him cater my husband's birthday dinner, watching his process, discussing food and wine pairings with him, etc. The food was amazing (our guests are still talking about it) and we all really enjoyed having a fine dining experience in our home. Rob, along with his wife who accompanied him to assist, was great. He was professional, punctual, and a pleasure to deal with before and during our event. Most importantly, the food was fantastic and all 10 of us were happy! As a host, I usually have a heavy cleanup. That wasn't the case at all. Rob and his wife were so efficient. The kitchen was immaculate and the plates were all clean before they left. Getting to enjoy a high quality, restaurant style meal in my home on New Years Eve was such a treat.

Because I live on the West Coast but was planning an event in Hudson Valley, I needed a caterer who could work with me via phone and email. Rob was fantastic. He was easy to discuss needs, offer ideas, and negotiate personal preferences ahead of time We didn’t meet until the day prior to the event and please know all went perfectly. Not only was Rob professional and reliable, his food was all delicious. I got nothing but great comments from the crowd As well, I need to mention that Rob brought a great serving staff. They were all attentive to keeping the drinks and food well supplied, cleaned up dishes and cups throughout the event in an unobtrusive manner, and cleaned up at the end of the event leaving the place in perfect order. Couldn’t ask for anything more! If I lived closer, I’d be hiring Rob again

Rob did an excellent job catering our black tie wedding! He was extremely professional and organized and was really thoughtful in helping us achieve the type of wedding catering we wanted. Rob is very humble about his background in the catering business, but you can tell he is very well experienced in the catering industry. We loved him so much that we hired him for our wedding brunch the day after the wedding as well. He does not advertise enough his ability to do all types of weddings from casual to high end. I would highly recommend Rob to anyone else thinking of doing a wedding. Weddings can be very stressful but Rob had the right staff and coordination to pull everything we needed him for off well!

Rob and his staff were amazing to work with from start to finish. We had 125 people at our wedding on a horse farm with little to no space for him to work. And yet, he delivered delicious food, excellent service and, all in all, he helped us create an absolutely amazing wedding! From our first email, to the day of, Rob was quick to respond and worked diligently to make sure we got everything we wanted. We have crazy work schedules and he always made a point to come to us for meetings and even for our tasting! Which was an awesome experience in and of itself.
Rob creates amazing food and worked with us to create a delicious menu that all of our guests are still raving about. In some ways, our wedding was a caterer's nightmare. But Rob never flinched (at least not around us...lol) and when all was said and done, Rob and his staff delivered a dream come true! Thank you Rob and the staff at Rob's Kitchen Caravan!
